About the Delaware River Site

Welcome to the Delaware River Recreation page. This page was created as a reference for fishermen, campers and others looking to spend time on the Delaware River.

I have been fishing and camping on the Delaware for the past 30 years. During that time, I have seen the river go through many changes. Perhaps the biggest change was the National Park Service takeover of the Delaware Water Gap.

The Delaware River is 390 miles long. The river starts in Schoharie County, NY and drains into the Delaware Bay. This site concentrates on the upper 200 miles, the Non-Tidal section of the river. Tidal water begins in Trenton NJ just above the RT. 1 overpass.
