Bicycling along the
Delaware River
There are two great bicycling paths that run parallel
to the river on both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey
Shore lines. Both are old mule paths once used
to pull cargo barges through the canals. Combined, the
two trails give you 70 miles of the best-maintained
bike trails in the area.
Along the way you will find quaint restaurants to eat
in, numerous fishing opportunities and some of the best
bird watching in the region. And for the photography
enthusiast, beautiful small towns, an abundance of wildlife
and the picturesque river shots are endless.
